Technical Screening Intern
People · Remote (US or UK) · 20 hrs/week · Fall 2026
About the team
House AI is an AI interior design app from Addicting Elements LLC that turns a photo of any room, exterior or garden into a photorealistic redesign in about 15 seconds, with 300+ styles on iOS, Android and the web, plus Shop from Image to find the real, in-stock furniture in a finished design across 330 retailers.
This role sits on the People side of the team. Review applications and resumes against each role's requirements and write up who to interview.
About the role
Every application House AI receives is screened before an interview is booked. You will do the first read, score it against the role's requirements and write the note that decides whether we talk to the candidate.
This internship is 100% remote and open to students anywhere in the United States or the United Kingdom. It is 20 hours a week for the Fall 2026 term.
What you will do
- Read applications and resumes for the open roles and score them against the requirements on the posting.
- Write a short screening note per candidate: strengths, gaps, and a recommendation.
- Check the automated screening output against your own read and flag where it disagrees with a person.
- Improve the screening rubric as you learn which signals predict a good interview.
What we look for
- A current student or recent graduate. Any major is fine if you can show the work.
- You read carefully and you can tell the difference between a strong resume and a well-formatted one.
- You are fair, consistent and able to explain a judgment in two sentences.
- You are careful with personal information.
Hours, pay and terms
- 20 hours a week, part time.
- Fully remote. You can be anywhere in the United States or the United Kingdom.
- Unpaid. There is no stipend and no health coverage.
- Perks: a letter of recommendation at the end of the term, course credit support (we sign faculty sponsor forms, take check-in calls with your professor and complete end-of-term evaluations), mentorship, and help with your resume and LinkedIn.
- You get access to the AI tools you need for your work.
- Fall term runs August 10 to December 18, 2026, with rolling start dates inside the term.
- Applications close October 31, 2026.
- Work authorization is not required.
Course credit
Course credit is supported. We sign faculty sponsor forms, take check-in calls with your professor, and complete end-of-term evaluations. Your supervisor is Jeffrey Escobar, CTO.
How to apply
